Billing & Subscriptions
What Happens When Your Trial Ends
What to expect when your 15-day free trial expires and how to reactivate if your account enters a readonly state.
Your 15-day free trial ends automatically on the 15th day. What happens next depends on whether you've set up a subscription.
If You Have an Active Subscription
Nothing changes. Your account transitions seamlessly from trial to paid and all features continue without interruption. Your first charge is applied on the day the trial ends.
If You Haven't Subscribed
Your account enters a readonly state. This means:
- Members cannot submit new daily updates
- The DSM Board is accessible in read-only mode
- All existing data (updates, reports, scores) is preserved
- Admins can still access the analytics dashboard in read-only mode
- Settings and billing pages remain accessible
No data is deleted. Your organization and all its history are held safely until you decide to subscribe or not.
Reactivating After Trial Expiry
To reactivate:
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Subscribe.
- Select your plan (Startup or Business) and billing cycle.
- Enter your payment details.
- Confirm.
Access is restored immediately upon successful payment. Members can submit updates again right away.
Grace Period After Expiry
There's no automatic deletion window — your data is retained indefinitely even in a readonly state. You can reactivate weeks or months later and pick up exactly where you left off.
Notifications Before Trial Ends
Strova sends reminder notifications as your trial approaches its end date:
- 3 days before: In-app + email reminder to the org owner
- 1 day before: Final reminder
- On expiry: Notification that the account is now readonly
These go to the org owner and any admins with the Platform Alert notification enabled.
