Billing Overview

How Strova's billing works — per-seat pricing, billing cycles, and how charges are calculated.

Strova uses per-seat, per-month pricing. You pay for each active member in your organization — readonly members are always free.

Pricing

PlanMonthlyAnnual (10% off)
Startup$3/user/month$2.70/user/month
Business$5/user/month$4.50/user/month

Annual billing is charged as a lump sum at the start of each year.

What Counts as a Seat?

A seat is an active, non-readonly member of your organization. Specifically:

  • Counts as a seat: Active members who can submit daily updates
  • Does not count: Readonly members (Business plan)
  • Does not count: Pending invitations that haven't been accepted yet

Your seat count is the number of active non-readonly members at any given time.

When Seats Are Added or Removed

Strova reconciles your seat count automatically:

  • Adding a member — Seat count increases immediately. A prorated charge for the remainder of the current billing period is applied.
  • Removing a member — Seat count decreases. A prorated credit is applied for the remainder of the current period.
  • Converting a member to readonly — Seat freed. Prorated credit applied.
  • Converting a readonly to full member — Seat added. Prorated charge applied.

Monthly vs Annual Billing

Monthly: You're billed on the same date each month for your current seat count. Seat changes are prorated to your next billing date.

Annual: You pay upfront for a full year. Mid-year seat changes result in prorated charges or credits applied to your account balance and reflected on your next renewal.

Switching between monthly and annual: upgrades to annual take effect at your next billing date. Downgrades to monthly take effect at the end of your annual term.
