Getting Started
Inviting Your First Team Members
How to send invitations, set team assignments, and get your team onboarded into Strova.
Once your organization is set up, the next step is bringing your team in. Strova uses email invitations — each person receives a link to create their account and join your org.
How to Send Invitations
- Go to Team Management in the left sidebar.
- Click the Employees tab.
- Click Invite Members.
- Enter one or more email addresses.
- Optionally assign them to a team and set their role.
- Click Send Invites.
Each invitee receives an email with a unique signup link. The link is valid until they accept or you cancel it.
Invitation Options
Assign to a team — Select which team(s) the invitee will join. If you leave this blank, they join the org but aren't on any team yet.
Allow self-selection — If enabled, the invitee can choose their own teams after signing up. Useful when you're inviting a large group across multiple teams.
Invite as readonly — (Business plan only) Readonly members can view the DSM Board and reports but cannot submit updates. They don't consume billable seats. See Readonly Members for details.
Tracking Pending Invitations
Invitations that haven't been accepted yet appear in the Invitations section of the Employees tab. From there you can:
- See when each invite was sent
- Resend the invitation email
- Cancel a pending invite
What the Invitee Sees
The invitee receives an email with a Join Strova button. Clicking it opens a signup page pre-filled with their email. After setting a password, they're taken into the app and prompted to complete the member guided tour.
If you pre-assigned them to a team, they land directly on the DSM Board for that team. If self-selection is enabled, they'll see a team picker first.
