Coverage Calendar
How to read the monthly coverage calendar and what the color indicators mean for your team's standup participation.
The coverage calendar is a compact monthly view on the DSM Board that shows at a glance how consistently your team has been submitting daily updates.
Reading the Calendar
Each day on the calendar is color-coded based on how many active team members submitted an update that day:
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Full coverage — all active members submitted |
| Amber/Yellow | Partial coverage — some members submitted, some are pending |
| Red | No submissions — nobody submitted for this working day |
| Grey | Non-working day (weekend, holiday, or outside working hours) |
Members marked on leave for a day are excluded from the coverage count. A day where everyone active either submitted or was on leave counts as full coverage.
Navigating with the Calendar
Click any day on the coverage calendar to jump directly to that date's board. This makes it easy to drill into a specific day to see who submitted and what they said.
What It's Used For
For team leads and managers: The calendar is a quick health check. Consistent green coverage means your team is in a good async rhythm. A run of amber or red days is a signal that something's off — overloaded sprints, unclear expectations, or missing reminders.
For individual members: You can see your personal submission history to spot days you missed and submit retroactive updates if needed.
