Inviting Members as Readonly

How to invite someone directly as a readonly (viewer) member on the Business plan.


You can invite someone directly as a readonly member so they join Strova with view-only access from the start — no need to change their role after the fact.

Requirements

  • Your organization must be on the Business plan
  • You must be an Admin or Owner to send invitations

How to Invite as Readonly

  1. Go to Team Management → Employees.
  2. Click Invite Members.
  3. Enter the invitee's email address.
  4. Check the Invite as Readonly (Viewer) option.
  5. Optionally assign them to a team.
  6. Click Send Invite.

The invitee receives the standard invitation email. After signing up, they land in Strova with readonly access only — they will not see the Daily Updates page or be prompted to submit a standup.

Readonly Members Don't Count as Seats

Adding a readonly member has no effect on your monthly invoice. There's no cost limit on readonly members. See What is a readonly member? for full details.

Changing to Full Member Later

If a readonly member later needs to start submitting updates, you can convert them to a full member at any time. They'll then count as a billable seat from that point forward. See Converting a member to readonly.
