Configuring Working Days and Hours for Your Organization
How to set the default working schedule for your organization — working days, hours, DSM cutoff time, and grace period.
Your organization's working schedule determines which days standups are expected and when they need to be submitted. These settings apply to all members unless overridden at the team or individual level.
Who Can Configure This
Only Owners and Admins can change org-level schedule settings.
Where to Find Schedule Settings
Go to Settings → Organization → Schedule (or complete the onboarding wizard if you haven't already).
Working Days
Select which days of the week standups are expected. By default, Monday–Friday. Members won't be shown as "Pending" on days outside the working days selection.
Toggle individual days on or off. Changes apply from the next working day.
Working Hours
Set the window during which members are expected to submit. This is a soft window used for display purposes and timeliness calculation context.
- Start time — When the working day begins (in org timezone)
- End time — When it ends
DSM Cutoff Time
The cutoff time is the deadline for on-time submissions. Updates posted before this time are marked On Time. Updates after this time enter the grace period or are marked Late.
Set the cutoff time in your org timezone. Common values: 10am, 11am, 12pm.
Grace Period
The grace period is a buffer after the cutoff before an update is marked definitively Late. During the grace period, submissions are marked Grace Period (not Late) and incur a partial timeliness score penalty rather than the full late penalty.
A 30–60 minute grace period is typical — it accounts for brief delays without penalizing members for minor tardiness.
Cutoff Timezone Mode
Choose whether the cutoff applies in the org's timezone or each member's personal timezone:
- Org timezone — One universal cutoff for everyone. Simpler but may be unfair to members in different timezones.
- User timezone — Each member's cutoff is evaluated in their own timezone. Better for distributed or global teams.
Overrides
These org defaults can be overridden at the team level (for teams on different schedules) and at the individual level (for specific members). See Team-level schedule overrides and Personal schedule overrides.
